We're thrilled that you are interested in DaisyButtonBelieves.com, where kids are changing the world one dream at a time! In this document we'll explain what kinds of questions we'll ask you on our website, and what we do with the information you give us.
Daisy Button Believes gives you the ability to have controlled interaction with your friends. We have tried to make this a fun and friendly environment, but the environment on DaisyButtonBelieves.com also depends on you. Whenever using this site, or any social networking website, you should be careful about the interactions you have with others.
A big Daisy Button welcome to parents, teachers and other concerned adults. Our website, DaisyButtonBelieves.com, is hosted by KNOWNHOST . On this site, with parental permission, kids can participate in a virtual online environment, giving them the opportunity to create a profile with an avatar, apply for grant money to fund their project, research their project, meet other "Believers" (other kids), Talk with Daisy and Friends (seven fictional characters that are managed by the creators), and interact on activity feeds and forums (asking questions, supporting other kids, sharing ideas, providing updates and photos of their project or idea, etc.).
In this policy we describe what information we collect, how we collect it, and what we do with it (the policy covers only information collected and used on DaisyButtonBelieves.com). Daisy Button Believes strives to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, (COPPA) a U.S. law that governs the use and collection of information online from kids under 13. To learn more about this law, and about how to protect your kids on interactive online websites, visit http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/tech/tec08.shtm for information from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, as well as http://www.onguardonline.gov/socialnetworking_youth.html.

No additional personally identifying information is required.
In order to use this Web site, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on the registration form, including a user name and password. During registration you are required to give contact information (your parent email address if you are under 13 years of age).
As part of the registration process, we require demographic information (gender, country of residence and birth date); we encourage you to submit this information so we can provide you a more personalized experience. We limit the information we collect, both actively (i.e., what we ask kids) and passively (what we collect through use of web tracking mechanisms like "cookies") to that which is necessary for kids to take part in DaisyButtonBelieves.com features.

How Daisy Button Believes Uses the Information it Collects
Upon activation of an account, the information submitted will be used by Daisy Button Believes to create a member profile and will allow the registered user to participate on the DaisyButtonBelieves.com website, which contains a variety of interactive community features. Within those features, users are identified in the community by their screen name, avatar, age, gender and country of origin. This limited (and non-personal) identifying information, accompanied by an avatar to represent them (one of the seven fictional characters), will be displayed to the user or kid's friends and others who have obtained the user or kid's screen name. Daisy Button Believers can make friends by searching for similar likes, and more. Also, if a Believer (meaning site member) knows the other members screen name, which they can find in a variety of ways, some examples include knowing the screen name through personal contact offsite, seeing the screen name if the other Believer is mentioned in the Community section of the site (such as if they are the winner of the "Monthly $1,000 Grant" competition," or registered Believer seeing screen names that are included in their friend's list. It is also possible that the Believer could guess a screen name. The recipient must accept the invitation before the two can communicate.
Once an invitation is accepted, the two become online "friends" and can see each other's profiles, and can use the site to leave moderated messages (for example by posting a message on the friend's "post" or in a "forum"). We only allow free-form text in the pin board feature (a brief public, moderated message).
We also use the information that you give to us (including your contact information such as email address) to make our Services the best possible experience for you. For instance, we may use your information to:
- customize the Services you choose to receive
- manage your account and your queries
- improve our Services
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations and protect our legitimate interests
- carry out research and analysis, training and quality assurance
- contact you with important service announcements
- if you agree, contact you about other Services and products from Daisy Button Believes that we think may be of interest to you
- if you agree, contact you with advertising from other businesses
If you want to read more about how our site operates, we encourage you to read our Parent's Page.
Please note, we may monitor, record, store and use any telephone call, email or other communication with you internally for training purposes and to improve the quality of our customer service.
Parents and legal guardians of kids under 13 who are members of DaisyButtonBelieves.com have certain rights under COPPA, and Daisy Button Believes recognizes those rights. Parents/guardians can consent to collection and use of a kid's personally identifiable information (PII) without consenting to the disclosure of information to third parties. Currently the only identifiable information we collect from children is the parent email address. We will not knowingly register children under 13 years old on DaisyButtonBelieves.com without parental consent. Without consent, a child under 13 cannot use any of the community features. If a parent does not provide consent, we will delete the information provided during the registration process within a reasonable time period.
A child's participation or access to an activity on our site is not conditioned on their providing more Personal Information than is reasonably necessary for the activity.
Parents/guardians can review information their children have contributed to DaisyButtonBelieves.com, request that Daisy Button delete that information, and refuse to allow Daisy Button to collect further information from their kids by contacting our Customer Service department by email at TraceySerebin@gmail.com Parents should include their kid's Believer name and the registered (parent's) email address in the email so we can better assist them with their inquiry or request. Daisy Button may ask additional questions or take other steps to verify the identity of parents/guardians before responding to a request to review or delete their kid's information, or a request to refuse further collection from kids.

Daisy Button Believes makes every reasonable effort to disallow and discourage users and kids from sharing personally identifying information with each other via the community features via a filter system and live moderators.
