PEACE ON THE COURT
War is a sad reality of life, but it doesn’t have to be. A philanthropist named Freddie Krivine was tired of all the fighting in the Middle East. Before he died, he set up a foundation which built tennis programs all over the region.
Kids from Jewish and Arab regions are now facing each other on a tennis court. They are learning some great tennis skills and how to form better relations with their neighbors. Maybe our world leaders could learn something from this! Why can’t we have more people like Freddie Krivine?
Daisy, I think this guy was on to something. Perhaps sports games can be used for more conflict resolution. Remind me to bounce some ideas with you and Cooper about that!
